The National Swallow Class was 75 last year!

Enjoying some of the best competitive keelboat racing anywhere, the National Swallow Class celebrated its 75th Anniversary with some very special events.

The celebrations at the Royal Yacht Squadron at Cowes were a wild success with a Gala Dinner on the Platform on Friday 14th July, and a party in the Pavilion on the Saturday. Unfortunately the wind gods were rather too enthusiastic and all racing was lost but the preceding Cowes Classics Week, the ‘Vernon Trophy’ passage race to Cowes and the sail home were unquestionably events which will live long in the memory. See the photo gallery, under the “About the Swallow” tab for all the pictures.
